The final REFOCuS stakeholder conference was organized on 12-13/05/2021 as a two-day hybrid event, where participants could attend either in person at the Hunting Lodge Peski premises in Djurdjevac (Croatia) or online via Zoom. The conference gathered experts and practitioners interested in riparian forest conservation and management.

The first day of the conference focused on various aspects of riparian forest conservation and management in Mura-Drava-Danube Biosphere Reserve. Our speakers reported on new knowledge and information that has emerged from the REFOCuS project, and the implications this new information may have for the future of riparian forests conservation and management.

For those interested in the above topics who did not attend the conference, the recording of the first day of the conference is available on youtube. Further video presentations of REFOCuS results are available here.

The second day of the conference was organized online and focused on the training the users on the DanubeForestHealth information system. The training was given by Nikica Ogris (Slovenian Forestry Institute), the main developer of the DanubeForestHealth information system, who demonstrated how to use the application to all interested participants.

For those interested in the DanubeForestHealth, more information can be found at its official website, and video instructions on how to install and use it can be found here.

We would like to thank all the participants and speakers for their participation at the conference.

We would also like to invite you again to watch the video material from the conference available online.
