26-08-2020

A part of the D2C project is mapping of selected species in habitats of pilot regions. Bats are one of them in Romania, in the pilot area the Iron Gates Nature Park. Experts of the natural park did and intensive field survey for new bats colonies and they found not only new, but also renewed ones what is very good sign. A field research was done in many habitats, mainly in natural and artificial cavities and holes and also in churches and abandoned buildings. See pictures of various environment below.

Researches found also bats ringed in Serbia. It proves  that the Danube river is not a barrier for their migration, but an ecological corridor for some species of bats.
