Sarajevo - 05.10.2019 and Tuzla 10.10.2019

We identified that Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has less than 3% diagnosed people from the total number of people affected by dementia. Diagnosis by initiative of the Primary Health Care is minor.

On the beginning of October the INDEED team from BiH published the handbook:

„Dementia from the angle of Primary Health Care“

It has marked the beginning of the project „Let's increase the percentage of diagnosis of dementia“. It was a Master Class training for GP's and nurses. They need to get information about prevalence, causes, types, medical therapies, importance of the non-pharmacological post-diagnostic support and palliative care. The training provided a research protocol because of creating a disease history as preparation for diagnose. The two Master Classes gathered 250 participants. Every participant received the handbook for free to use as guidance in their work.
