14-11-2019

RADAR Project Partner, Institute for Transport Sciences Non-Profit Ltd. (KTI) has organised and held a 3-day Road Infrastructure Safety Training course in Hungary from 5th to 7th of November 2019.

The training courses were very well received and a good blend of Hungarian experts were able to participate from different fields of road engineering. The group of the attendees represented road authorities, national stakeholders, decision-makers, NGO’s and even senior experts who were interested in the topic.

The first – frontal – day of the training was led by Jure Kostanjšek and Klemen Filipič from Slovenian partner AMZS. Mr. Kostanjšek introduced the RADAR and RAP methodology and gave a thorough overview of the Star Rating and Risk Mapping process and its goals.

The second and third – practical – days were led by Bojan Jovanović from Croatian partner FPZ. Mr. Jovanović presented how the video inspections and the coding process works in practice and the attendees had the chance to try ViDa software themselves via interactive exercises.

KTI has provided both the lecture hall and the computer room for the 3 days, to give participants the best opportunity to learn about the methodology and the software. The attendees were interested and cooperative, and did not hesitate to ask, and to participate in the discussions, despite that the language of the training was English.

The webinars following the training courses will be held soon.
