RADAR - PROJECT PRESENTATION AT THE 8th ANNUAL EUSDR FORUM 2019

The RADAR project was successfully presented at the 2019 EUSDR Annual Forum organized as a key event of the 2019 Romanian Presidency, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the European Commission and the Danube Transnational Programme. The 8th Annual Forum of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region took place on the 27 and 28th of June in Bucharest, Romania. The forum took place under the motto: ‘Building cohesion for a shared prosperity in the Danube Region’.

The agenda focused on competitiveness, connectivity and regional mobility, as well as on links between MSR and cohesion and also on the possibilities of creating synergies that can result in a better embedment of EUSDR into future EU programs and policies. The event was organized in the context of the Romanian Presidency of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (SUERD) and the Presidency of the Council of the European Union by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with the European Commission and the Transnational Danube Program. The forum represented a very important event for the SUERD presidency, promoting connectivity, mobility and competitiveness by stimulating the development of business, transport, digitization and tourism support structures.

Within the Forum, Cooperation of DTP TPs with EUSDR PACs (best practice - cooperation between Thematic Pole (TBD) and PAC (TBD) was also held. The objective of the workshop was to showcase the cooperation between the DTP and EUSDR stakeholders within the DTP capitalisation process. The workshop consisted of three distinct sessions with the aim to describe, in a holistic manner, how the DTP Capitalisation Strategy and the EUSDR serve each other for their respective benefits. One of the sessions was dedicated to cooperation with other financing instruments, within the framework of the DTP Capitalisation Strategy. RADAR project was also presented and showcased the great practices of capitalisation events with EUSDR.

During the side event other DTP projects of Thematic Pole 6 - Sustainable Transport Solutions and Mobility were also presented. It was a good opportunity to hear other DTP projects' outputs and deliverables, such as EGUTSTransdanube PearlsTransgreen and LinkingDanube!
