Energy Democracy Summit 2019 (SED) was held in the largest Istrian town of Pula from 10 to 12 April 2019 at the Park Plaza Histria Hotel. SED 2019 covers all key aspect and complex issues related to the broader term of energy. More than 300 participants from nearly 150 industry leaders from 13 countries around the world participated in a total of 21 panels. Dr. Tamara Marković from Croatian Geological Survey, was a panelist on the Panel “Examples of good practice in cities and municipalities” together with the mayors of the city of Pula, Pleternica, Bjelovar, the Island of Cres and Križevci with the topic “Achievements of DARLINGe (Danube Region Leading Geothermal Energy) project”

SED 2019 is the first and only gathering of such complexity in Croatia, whose content is created “by experts – for the experts”. Particular attention of SED 2019 was devoted to energy democracy in the broadest sense of the term, especially considering that Croatia is still in energy transition which significantly increases the number of active energy trading stakeholders.
