Danube Floodplain - Kick-Off Meeting, Steering Committee and Stakeholder Engagement Workshop, Bucharest, Romania

We are pleased to announce that the KICK-OFF MEETING AND THE STEERING COMMITTEE OF DANUBE FLOODPLAIN PROJECT will take place in BUCHAREST, ROMANIA during 27th and 28th September 2018.

The main objective of the Danube Floodplain project is improving transnational water management and flood risk prevention while maximizing benefits for biodiversity conservation.

The official Kick-Off Meeting will bring together representatives of project partners and associated strategic partners from the eleven countries (Romania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine) along the Duna River and selected tributaries. The meeting aims to build a good understanding of responsibilities and connections between all partners to allow smooth running of all activities. It will centre on: building a consortium-type spirit; agreeing on internal processes for Project management and Communication plan; reviewing in details the activities and Work Plan; and agreeing on further immediate steps.

The 1st Steering Committee Meeting will validate the decisions proposed by the expert assuring the transparent decision-making.  

The Agenda of 27th September will also include a Stakeholder Engagement Workshop for project partners, in order to set the scene for stakeholder engagement on national and regional level, start to make our stakeholder maps and form our thinking around methods how we will approach them.

Participation in the Kick-Off Meeting and the Stakeholder Engagement Workshop is by invitation only.
