EDU-LAB - Stakeholder Training in Kecskemet, 27-28 June 2018

04-07-2018

The Second Training on the new governance model developed within the EDU-LAB project took place on June 27-28, 2018 in Kecskemet (Hungary), hosted by the Municipality of Kecskemet.

Since it has been proven that in the change processes, face-to-face meetings are irreplaceable, the exchange of ideas and interactions in person were necessary to contribute to the implementation of the “New Danubian Governance Model”.

Hungary being the only country in the Danube Region where Dual education is also present in the tertiary sector the goal of this training event was to offer a possibility to participants from other countries of the region to exchange best practises with all the stakeholders involved in the dual education process in Hungary.

Welcome speeches were held by Prof. Piroska Ailer (Rector of the John von Neumann University) and Dr. Jozsef Gaal (Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Kecskemet). All speakers referred to the close cooperation already established within the project EDU-LAB and to the importance of investing in education.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentations by dual partners of the John von Neumann University (Phoenix Mecano Kecskemet Ltd., Linamar Hungary Ltd., Knorr-Bremse Systems Ltd.) and the students enrolled in the dual study program. They all shared their different experiences with us emphasizing the added value of dual learning and how much they beneficiated from it.

During the Workshop on Dual Training all the partners involved in WP5 went to site visits of dual partners of the John von Neumann University. They were divided in 3 groups and went to visit: Phoenix Mecano Kecskemet Ltd., Deltaplast Ltd., and Knorr-Bremse Systems Ltd. The visits allowed the partners to discover the Hungarian system and also to get some technical knowledge regarding what each company is producing.

The partner meeting also included a revision of the E-learning courses previously designed by the partners. All partners involved in WP5 gathered in four groups to revise and comment the four different courses. These small workshops were led both by Institute Mihajlo Pupin and University of Maribor partners.

All participants enjoyed greatly the beautiful environment and the hospitality of the Municipality of Kecskemet.
