FORESDA - Wood 4.0. What does bionics have to do with it

The trends related to the industry 4.0, in which automation and data exchange intensively enter also the manufacturing technologies, are being more and more recognized also in the forest-based industries. One of the recent events was organized in Salzburg, Austria, by Wood Cluster Salzburg in the cooperation with the Innovation Service Salzburg. The members of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (SUAS), which are also FORESDA project partner, gave insights into current research findings in the field of "learning with and from nature - innovation solutions and efficiency improvements thanks to biomimetrics", and the participants also had opportunity to learn about the newest development trends but also practice related to bionics.
