MOVECO - Croatian Entrepreneur Support and Circular Economy

19-12-2017

Osijek, Croatia 7.12.2017

After the 3rd project partner meeting in Osijek, Croatia, the members of two partner organisations stayed for an additional day – MOVECO’s 2nd staff exchange took place.

In the course of the project, in total 16 staff exchanges will be organised, involving each project partner. The goal is to learn more about the problems and opportunities present in the different countries and regions. This time, the Cluster of Environmental Technology Bavaria (UCB) from Augsburg/Germany and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bistrita-Nasaud (CCIBN) from Bistrita-Nasaud/Romania visited the partners from Tera Tehnopolis Ltd. (TERA) from Osijek/Croatia. The objective of the staff exchange was to learn more about Circular Economy in Croatia and to work on the so called Circular Economy Tools.

Croatia is a good example which shows how important it is to raise people’s awareness for Circular Economy. Many don’t know anything about it at all. Others act in line with the concept of Circular Economy but are not aware of doing so. Therefore, meeting the needs for education and raising the awareness for Circular Economy are decisive for Croatia in order to transform its economy from a linear to a circular one.

Furthermore, UCB and CCIBN learnt about how TERA supports Croatian entrepreneurs e.g. in writing a business plan and provides them with the possibility to broaden their skills and knowledge about implementing/running a business. They teach methodology and link it directly with the specific problem the entrepreneur wants to solve with his/her business idea. A very impressive guideline in form of a text book with the title “Inovativo3 Produzetništvo” (engl. Innovative3 Enterprise) written by Ivan Štefanić might also be a good idea for entrepreneurs outside of Croatia. It is divided into three parts: Idea – Business model – Implementation. The translation from Croatian into English is planned.
