ATTRACTIVE DANUBE - Short Report about the Second National Workshop in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The second national B&H „ATTARCTIVE DANUBE“ workshop was organised by FB&H Ministry of Physical Planning  on  24 October 2017 at Hotel Dubrovnik, Zenica. The workshop was attended by 47 representatives from 21 institutions, including our dear guests from the Republic of Croatia (Institute for spatial planning of Koprivnica KriĹževci County), representatives of B&H state level institutions, FBIH level institutions (administrative authority and administrative organisations), cantonal level institutions (administrative authority and administrative organisations), NGOs, private sector and academia.

 

The Second National Workshop in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The subject of the workshop was „Territorial attractiveness (TA) indicators and their presentation in GIS “. The Project team of FBIH Ministry of Physical Planning delivered several presentations with outcomes achieved so far in order to inform colleagues from different branches/sectors of ATTRACTIVE DANUBE project progress. Data for 22 TA indicators that were defined by ATTRACTIVE DANUBE PROJECT was processed and presented in graphs. Colleagues from the Republic of Croatia delivered a presentation on WEB GIS solution for Spatial Planning Information System of the Republic of Croatia.

 

The Second National Workshop in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Colleagues from the Development Planning Institute of the Sarajevo Canton delivered a presentation focusing on  a GIS solution being used at  Institute, when developing town-planning schemes of the Sarajevo Canton and „indicators for urban settlements development“.

The main objective of the workshop was to meet and connect representatives of different institutions, to acquaint them with TA indicators, processing methods in GIS and IT achievements related to WEB GIS presentation of spatial planning documents.
