Thematic Pole 7 - Waterways

Thematic Pole 7 gathers together seven projects strongly committed to boost the inland waterway transport in a very comprehensive and practical approach. Given the broad scope of the field, the projects tackle various aspects: removal of administrative barriers along the Danube, improvement of inland waterway and infrastructure management, establishment of high performing ports, modernisation of Danube inland fleet, protection of the Danube eco-system by proposing innovative greening transport solutions, enhancement of interoperability between maritime and inland waterways, creation of a harmonised pan-European qualification framework for the personnel on board ships.
