1/08/2017, Vinkovci (Croatia) – Within the context of the INTERREG Made in Danube project, Dipl.-Ing. Bernhard Koch from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) visited project partner Dr. Ivan Ambroš – Head of Department for Regional Development and Strategic Planning at Vukovar-Srijem County Development Agency HRAST in Croatia on July 31 and August 1.
Agency HRAST is part of a regional initiative which supports the development of a Competence centre in wood sector. Together with two other co-operation projects in the field of Precision Farming and Biofuel, Made in Danube will elaborate three Local Action Plans. Jointly, these plans will be implemented in the Danube Region and lead to innovation partnerships between SMEs and RTOs.
During the meetings both parties discussed the development of the ongoing stakeholder survey. The study forms part of the Made in Danube project and examines the conditions for technology transfer among regional SMEs, higher education and research institutions and regional public authorities.
Another area of focus has been the continuous improvement process and necessary future steps for a successful uptake of a common strategy to transform ideas into marketable products.
The experts further plan to organize a joint meeting of all three regional initiatives in Budapest during 6th Annual Forum of the EUSDR.
