InnoHPC - PRESENTATION AT RSA ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2017

During the period of 4th – 7th June 2017, the Faculty of Information Studies Team presented the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme: InnoHPC - High-Performance Computing For Effective Innovation In The Danube Region at the RSA Annual Conference – Great Regional Awakening Directions at the Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

At the conference participated more than 600 stakeholders from various fields of activity as policy- makers, entrepreneurs and universities. The conference had as plenary speakers Professor Ricardo Hausmann, Director of Centre for International Development, Harvard University, USA and Mr Joaquim Oliveira Martins, Head of OECD Regional Development Policy Division, OECD, France. InnoHPC was presented during the Clusters – Development & Performance II session.

Additionally, during the conference period the FIS Team attended several other sessions that were important for the InnoHPC. On 5th of June at forefront were the Development & Policy in Rural & Peripheral Regions, Innovation & Economic Development & Growth - Collaboration & Flows, Firms - Clusters, Growth & Internationalisation where FIS could establish contacts with various stakeholders from different countries.

On 6th, the team also could attend two interesting sessions on Smart Specialisation & Evolutionary Economic Geography, and Innovation Policy - Initiatives, Effectiveness & Evaluation. Lastly, in the last day of the conference within the conference there was a session on Infrastructure & Transport - Investment & Access.
