Representative of project CityWalk was invited to the 14th Steering Group Meeting of the EUSDR Priority area 1b - To improve mobility and multimodality: rail, road and air transport.

On this event Danilo Čeh, lead project manager, presented the project CityWalk and also the Capitalization pole 6: Sustainable mobility in the DTP Programme. Partners from projects Transgreen and Transdanube Pearls were also present at the event and presented their projects.

The common challenge of capitalization is related to a wider use of environmentally-friendly and safe transport systems and modes to contribute to more sustainable regional and local mobility.

Why capitalization?

•    overview of main projects’ results,

•    accessibility, impact and durability of knowledge,

•    integrating new knowledge and good practices into Regional, National or European policy-making levels,

•    valorize and give visibility,

•    reuse and transfer of knowledge achieved.

The capitalization will be processed through which deliverables, and results will be identified, valued and documented in various media. This systematic process will allow learning of lessons and identification of good practices. Thanks to this approach, the practice can change and improve and may others adopt that.

The idea of capitalization and working together was also present to the European Commission (DG NEAR). They support the initiative and will help us with the dissemination of results.

All participant agree with importance of the capitalization of results in Danube area and will start the process of sharing and learning.
