10-11-2020

The kick-off meeting of the international Living Danube Limes-project, co-financed by the European Union, took place online via ZOOM on August 10 and 11, 2020.

On August 10, 2020, the kick-off gathered over 80 participants from the ten partner countries. The meeting was opened by project coordinator Dr. Anna Kaiser of Danube University Krems - Lead Partner of the project - by welcoming all project and associated partners and by proposing a toast to the successful start of the project.

Anna Kaiser then presented an overview of the project structure naming all relevant project data such as number of project partners (19) and associated partners (27) involved, number of represented countries (10), total funding budget (3.15 million Euros) and the project structure with all workpackages (13 all together)

Anna Kaiser was followed by Ana Leganel, project officer at the Joint Secretariat of Interreg Danube Transnational Programme, who was happy to formally get the Living Danube Limes-project on its way on behalf of the Joint Secretariat and who gave detailed insights in facts and figures on the Danube Transnational Programme.

Finally, all project and associated partners introduced themselves on day 1 of the meeting.

August 11, 2020 was dedicated to the presentation of the workplan and discussions related to the implementation of the project. Project specifics were introduced in detail to all partners.
