ConnectGREEN - News from before COVID-19 lockdown - Zoological Days Conference in Olomouc

Ecological corridor model presented at the Zoological Days Conference in Olomouc, Czech Republic, 6-7 February 2020.

Representatives of the ConnectGREEN Project Partner Silva Tarouca Research Institute for Landscape and Ornamental Gardening (VUKOZ) presented preliminary results of the suitable habitats and connectivity model for large carnivores in the Carpathians being develop within the frame of the ConnectGREEN project at the conference “Zoological Days” which was held in Olomouc, Czech Republic from 6-7 February 2020. It was one of the last occasions to present ConnectGREEN results in the “real” world before the COVID-19 lockdown. The conference gathered 465 wildlife experts from Czech Republic and Slovakia including from universities, nature conservation organizations, state administrations, museums, zoological gardens, research institutes, the Czech Academy of Science and more to discuss latest research results on zoology, ecology and evolutionary biology, part of it focusing on large mammals in the landscape and their returning back.
