ENERGY BARGE - Transnational Policy Recommendations & Synthesis Report

01-08-2019

The project consortium analysed existing national policies that influence the biomass and bioenergy sector and developed transnational recommendations and strategies for improving them. Burdens regarding cargo transports via the Danube waterway were identified and improvements suggested. Furthermore, a transnational strategy how to improve energy security through green biomass logistics was set up. Please find the two outputs here.

The synthesis report summarises and analyses the pre-feasibility studies and pilot case studies that were prepared by the involved Danube ports, i.e. Port of Vienna, Port of Straubing-Sand, Port of Vukovar, MAHART-Freeport Budapest and Slovak Shipping and Ports JSC. Please have a look at the report here.
