The second edition of the Danube Ports Info Day event was organised by Pro Danube and the Port of Enns together will all DAPhNE project partners on 5 June 2019 in the framework of the Munich Logistics Fair. The event was hosted by the Association of Austrian Ports (IGÖD) and brought together around 60 participants (industry representatives, port authorities, NGOs, universities) interested to debate and discuss on Danube ports development opportunities. The event meant to promote Danube Ports as logistics & service hubs as well as ideal locations to setting up businesses that need waterborne & intermodal logistics infrastructure.
This edition facilitated by means of panel discussions a structured dialogue on port development opportunities touching on topics such as rehabilitation of port facilities, development of hybrid logistics zones in or adjacent to ports, adopting green logistics practices, development of Liquefied Natural Gas supply and bunkering stations for vehicles and vessels in ports and the use of port logistics information systems (e.g. Port Community System).
Keynote speeches were delivered by Mr Friedrich Lehr (Chairman of Austrian Public Ports) and by Mr Robert Rafael (Secretary General Pro Danube International). Among the panellists that shared their expertise on the topics enumerated above, the DAPhNE event takes pride for the contributions of: Mr Werner Auer (Port of Enns), Mr Srdja Ljesevic (Port Governance Agency), Ms Zoia Floroiu (Constanta Maritime Ports Administration), Mr Fabian Zoltan (Hungarian Federation of Danube Ports), Mr Sasa Jovanovic (iC Consulenten), Mr Robert Rafael (Pro Danube International) and Mr Thomas Moser (Danube Logistics).
