The South-East Regional Development Agency of Romania, lead partner of D-STIR project, hosts the final project meeting and conference to be held during 25th-26th of June 2019 in Braila City.
D-STIR’s objective is to improve Danube framework conditions for innovation, by integrating Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in the whole innovation pipeline. During the project life time, D-STIR contributed to reach this goal through capacity building actions, "pilot actions" for a new research method using socio-technical integration adapted to the Danube innovation context and tested in business and academia environment, responsible research innovation actions implemented in partners regions and policy recommendations for improving institutional & infrastructural framework conditions at Danube and local level.
The final interregional event (25th of June) will gather the project partners to have a close overlook on the activities and deliverables undertaken within 30 months of project implementation while the conference event (26th of June) aims at a large dissemination of the project results among interested research actors in the Danube macro-region.
Besides the project partners, associated strategic partners, Embedded Humanists (persons directly involved in testing the D-STIR method and RRI actions at Danube level) and local stakeholders, final conference will be attended by representatives of public authorities, universities and research centers, business support organisations, innovative research companies. Moreover, the event aims to facilitate exchange and to reveal synergies on the project topic by creating a common platform for dialogue between D-STIR and other European funded projects (see the participation of ResInfra@DR project/Danube Programme and ELISE project/INTERREG EUROPE).
The main topics for discussion during the final project conference:
- "Does responsibility matter in research and innovation?”
- "Which are the challenges and solutions for research infrastructure in the Danube Macro-region?”
- "How to build innovation ecosystem?”
The participation in the event is free of charge.
