DARLINGe - the first National Promotional Event was successfully held in Croatia

 The Geological Survey of Croatia organized the Croatian National Promotion Event of the DARLINGe project on May 15, 2019 at the Zagreb Tower.

The purpose of the event was to present the project results to the wider public. Altogether 33  stakeholders attended the meeting from national public authorities, faculties, institutes, local institutions, cities, municipalities, agencies and users of thermal aquifers. The meeting was opened by the welcome words of Helena Matuša, deputy director Zagorje Development Agency and by dr.sc. Tamara Marković, project coordinator from HGI-CGS. Then Dragana Šolaja, mag. geol., gave a brief overview of the project, its goals, activities and results.

Three thematic lectures followed:

- "Obligations of thermal water concession holders in Slovenia and developments in recent years” - dr. sc. Nina Rman, guest lecturer from Geological Survey of Slovenia

- "Utilization of thermal aquifers - comparison of Croatia with partner countries" - dr. sc. Tamara Marković, Croatian Geological Survey

 - "Geothermal potential of the Croatian part of Pannonian Basin" - dr. sc. Tamara Marković, Croatian Geological Survey

The meeting ended with a concluding discussion where participants exchanged experiences and developed some new ideas for future cooperation as well.

On May 16 an interview on the Croatian National Television HRT1 was broadcasted.
