CityWalk - Introduction of the CityWalk partnership
06-03-2017
The CityWalk consortium covers an extensive part of the Danube area. The cooperation of 17 partners from 9 countries enables the creation of common practices and methodologies in the field of sustainable urban mobility and transport. Project CityWalk relies on a balanced group of local, regional and national partners (public and academic) – including medium-sized cities, development agencies, research organizations and also a chamber of commerce and industry – all responsible for training development and delivery, as well as awareness-raising. Through the involvement of representatives of different geographical levels integrated territorial approach is also present.
The CityWalk partnership has been set up to ensure the efficient achievements of its objectives, in terms of geographical coverage, type of organizations and also expertise alike. Partners have been chosen for their relevance to the needs identified and their potential to address the challenges both on technical and political level. They can ensure that participation in CityWalk benefits their wider territories through an RRI framework with impact on socio-economic development.
