DanubeChance2.0 - SC Meeting in Budapest (05.09.2018)

The first Steering Committee Meeting of Danube Chance 2.0 took place on 5th of September 2018 in Budapest, Hungary hosted by the Lead Partner – IFKA Public Benefit Nonprofit Ltd. For Development of the Industry (IFKA)

DanubeChance 2.0 main aim is to Embracing failure to facilitate second-chance entrepreneurship in the Danube region.
The partnership represents dynamic and collaborative transnational environment within the Danube region from 13 countries. Project partners include policymakers and government agencies, chambers of commerce and industry, business accelerators and technology parks, research institute and university, and financial intermediary and one European network.

During the SC Meeting, participants had the opportunity to get together and exchange experience and knowledge in the field of second-chance entrepreneurs.
The event started with welcome speeches by the lead Partner of the project – Mária Baracsi.
After that, the financial rules and procedures and the project workplan were presented by the Lead Partner.
In the afternoon session every work package leader presented the main activities within their work packages and Dr. György Kovács - legal expert – draw the participants’ attention to the changes related to GDPR regulations of European Union.

Next steps will be the organization of the project opening conference which will be held on 24-25 of October 2018 and related the technical work, partners start to prepare the policy screening documents.
