Mr. Milan Antonijevic, on behalf of the Lawyers' Committee for Human Rights - YUCOM, attended two-day consultations with the  UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Development and Civil Society Organizations (OHCHR) that was held in Geneva. The right to development is a special human right and it implies the idea that everyone has the right to participate, contribute and enjoy economic, social, cultural and political development, on the basis of which all human rights and basic freedoms can be fully realized. Right to development puts people at the heart of the development process and aims to improve "the welfare of the entire population and all individuals based on their active, free and significant participation in development and equitable distribution" which as a result has the benefit of the entire society.

Concluding remarks of the session recognized the significance of the Danube Compass in the development context. There is a systemic need for all actors to provide transparent information, especially when they are directly related to interested citizens. In this sense, the significance of the Danube Compass has been recognised, with an emphasis on providing relevant information related to the right to work and economic integration of the foreign population. Danube Compass is the Information Platform for the Economic Integration of the Danube Region Migrants - DRIM is developed in 8 countries of the Danube Region and financed by the Danube Transnational Programme.
