DARLINGe - DARLINGe presented Danube Region's geothermal potential for green heat at EUSEW 2018

EU Sustainable Energy Week is the annual flagship event uniting policy makers, authorities, industry, stakeholders, NGOs, researchers and academia in the European sustainable energy sector. With 64 sessions and more than 2,500 participants EUSEW debated energy policy, created networking opportunities and spread the word about the latest developments on the sustainable energy market and in research focused on this year’s theme – ‘Lead the clean energy transition’. On this occasion DARLINGe project's Lead Partner (MBFSZ)  organised a Policy Session "DECARBONIZATION OF THE HEATING AND COOLING SECTOR: COUPLING EFFICIENCY AND RENEWABLES WITH SECURITY OF HEAT SUPPLY". More than 160 people registered for the Session, showing a great interest in the topic. The keynote was given by Ms Eva Hoos, Policy Officer from the Renewable Energy Unit at DG Energy, and the Session was modertaed by Mr Philippe Dumas, Secretary General of the European Geothermal Energy Council. In addition to policy roadmaps, the presentations were focussing on technological aspects and innovation potentials with the main focus on geothermal energy in the Danube Region.
