On behalf of the ENERGY BARGE project consortium, we would like to kindly invite you to attend our 3rd National Workshop on 7 June 2018 in Bucharest, Romania.

The event will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old town, 12 Doamnei St, Bucharest, 030055.

During this event, we will present the unique project ENERGY BARGE, co-funded by the Danube Transnational Programme. Its main objective is to exploit the potential for green energy in the form of biomass along the Danube River in a sustainable way, thereby increasing energy security and efficiency in the Danube countries. The project supports the development of new energy networks based on adequate transportation and distribution infrastructure.

The presentations about the ENERGY BARGE project will be complemented through keynote presentations by Zoltan Nagy, Vice President of the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority, Ilias Papageorgiadis, President of the Romanian Association of Biomass and Biogas (ARBIO) and Catalin Tobescu, Vice President of Nostra Silva. Furthermore, the company Clariant will give a presentation about their sunliquid® cellulosic ethanol plant, which is currently under construction in Romania.  

A site visit to the company HortiFruct S.R.L., an organisation of fruits and vegetables producers, will conclude the workshop. For further information, please see the agenda.
