Coop MDD project partners met on the Fourth Committee Meeting and Partner Workshop in Sombor in Serbia from 23rd to 27th April. In five days of meetings, partners were working intensively on future project implementation actions, but also had an opportunity for a walk and bike excursions in various nature locations in the future UNESCO TBR MDD area.

The first day was devoted to exchanging local action plan developments. Partners presented their current implementation status together with next steps in pilot actions.

For the second day something completely different – full day field excursion. It started with a bike tour from Bački Monoštor to Karapandža Eco-center in Special Nature Reserve Gornje Podunavlje, which is also a location for the future River School. The focus was on changes in management due to FSC certification, the local action plan development and the nature protection measures. Visiting of Bački Monoštor village gave also a great opportunity for visiting some of the traditional handy crafts in the village and discussions about local sustainable development.

Communication activities were reviewed in the following morning. Partners presented and discussed planned local public events, publications and educational video for Rivers schools. In the afternoon  DANUBEparksCONNECTED project and coop MDD project partners had joint sessions where they shared experiences and ideas of possible synergies.

Last two days of the meeting were dedicated to the planning of the Transboundary Action Plan and a visit to Kopački Rit Nature Park and Duna-Drava Nationalpark together with Danubeparks team.

In conclusion, meeting and workshops were fruitful for the whole coop MDD team with the outcomes of new ideas, plans and a positive boost for all partners. More photos are available here
