We are pleased to announce that DANTE was recently presented in the “Real people. Real stories” pilot project of the Danube Transnational Programme which aims to introduce the DTP funded initiatives through their target beneficiaries.
The “real” DANTE story is illustrated through the eyes of actual Danube river users – a Danube captain, owners of cargo and cruise companies, who comment on the challenges they face with administrative procedures, how they affect their business competitiveness and what benefits will all get from these being simplified and harmonized.
The article also includes the opinion of the public authorities which are the next most important DANTE target group. Representatives of the Danube Commission, the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technologies and the Hungarian Water Police Captaincy confirm that it is of a mutual interest to use simpler and unified tools to monitor and control the flow of traffic along the river for the sake of a safer and more predictable Danube transport.
