The upcoming InRoad Workshop – The Role of Regional, National, Institutional & EU Funding in the Long-Term Sustainability of Research Infrastructures is going to take place from 1 – 2 March 2018 in Hamburg, Germany.

The complex interplay of regional, national, institutional and EU funding should not become an obstacle in the development of research infrastructures. With this in mind, the goal of this workshop is to bring together stakeholders from different research facilities and public funding organisations.
The Hamburg Workshop will help gain an understanding of the issues faced by RI Operators and public funding organisations with respect to the different funding schemes and aims to deliver recommendations to improve RI funding in the next generation of structural funds and EU Framework Programme. The two-day event will follow an interactive approach, where participants will be encouraged to share in-depth information.
