RARE - Vasilitsa - Roma New Year

CIDT Amalipe and students from secondary school, Suhindol visited the Labor Office Directorate, Veliko Tarnovo on the occasion of the Vasilitsa - Roma New Year. This is one of the ways through which the organization strives to present the richness of Roma culture and its links with the culture of other ethnicities in Bulgaria.

The Labor Office Directorate is also one of the main institutions with which the Amalipe Center partners under the project "RARE - Changing Discourses and Practices: Roma as a Human Resource".

On the 15 th of January representative of Center Amalipe together with students from the fifth and seventh grade of the St. Ivan Rilski School, Cherventsi, Varna, visited the Executive Director of the Employment Agency. The children told about the customs related to the holiday. They wished health and prosperity within the traditional Sourvakane custom.

During the event CIDT "Amalipe" presented to the Employment Agency the main objectives and tasks of the RARE project. Possibilities for joint co-operation with the Agency for the effective inclusion of the Roma on the labor market and for building an inclusive attitude towards the equality of the Roma were discussed.
