Transdanube.Pearls - Development Agency Sinergija organized the first regional workshop

The Development Agency Sinergija (RASIN) as partner in the project Transdanube.Pearls organized the first workshop on 27 November 2017. RASIN strives to improve the situation on sustainable mobility in the Pomurje region and thus, to improve and strengthen connections between tourism and mobility.

The workshop event aimed at connecting key stakeholders from the tourism and mobility sector in Pomoruje and to get them acquainted with the main goals and activities for the region. Therefore, the goal of the Sustainable Regional Tourism Plan (SRTMP) was presented and discussed among stakeholders. Through interactive sessions, stakeholders identified problems and recognized opportunities in the field of tourism and mobility and elaborated a common vision on how the Pearl should look like in the future. Moreover, they provided fruitful input and feedback on the preparation process of the SRTMP and on the transport connection within the Pearl and to the surrounding regions.

Besides, RASIN informed about the project and jointly discussed the geographical area of the Slovenian Pearl that will comprise of the region of Pomurje. The involved stakeholders welcomed this proposal. Furthermore, the Development Agency Sinergija presented the Mobility Information Center that will be established in 2018 in the course of the project and their aim to buy bike carriage for busses and thereby, to increase the attractiveness of bus services and to motivate tourists/cyclists to combine cycling excursions with public transport.
