CityWalk - First LSG workshop with local stakeholders in Varaždin, Croatia

On October 30, 2017 in Varaždin there was an initial workshop organised with stakeholders in the local community (beneficiaries on a local level) who will be involved in the further implementation of the project CityWalk. Members of different interest groups (local and regional government units, schools, private subjects in traffic sector, citizen associations, media, ministries of internal affairs and of culture, public companies etc.) attended the workshop together with the deputy mayor of Varaždin Zlatan Avar, the head of Urbanism and protection of environment department of the City of Varaždin Damir Mikulić, the lead partner representative Danilo Čeh from ZRS Bistra Ptuj, and representatives of Dyvolve company who are the experts for the current state analysis in sustainable traffic (urban mobility) of Varaždin.
On the workshop the implementation of the project on a transnational and local level was presented, along with expectations of the City of Varaždin from the local stakeholders included in the implementation. The documentation preparation foreseen by the project (state analysis and local action plan) and completion of the pilot project to be implemented in the city of Varaždin were also two topics discussed at the workshop. During the workshop a research was conducted among participants based on the topic of long term improvements of the traffic situation in Varaždin.
