19-09-2017

The first results of the project AgriGo4Cities are starting to come out!

The project employs participatory urban and peri-urban agriculture as a way of improving the capacity of the institutions.   Through its implementation, the project will help to eliminate the gap that currently exists between the public authorities and different vulnerable groups. With the project we wish to contribute to the involvement of the civil society into the decision-making process.

In the context of the above-mentioned ideas, the Inventory report has the purpose of evaluating the state of art of relevant public institutions, vulnerable groups and urban and peri-urban agriculture in pilot areas of the Danube region. The Inventory report includes the detailed analysis of urban agriculture and its relation to social inclusion. It also assesses the contribution of urban agriculture to sustainable urban development.

There are several pilot areas involved in the project AgriGo4Cities, as it follows:

Municipal district Prague 9 (Czech Republic),

Municipality of Blagoevgrad (Bulgaria),

Municipality of Szekesfehevar (Hungary),

Municipality of Vaslui (Romania),

Municipality of Velenje (Slovenia)

Municipality Of Ulcinj (Montenegro).
