Danube GeoTour - Project partner meeting in Austria 20th - 23rd September 2017


The second project partner meeting of the Danube GeoTour is taking place form 20th - 23rd September 2017 in Austria. The first day is going to be in the UNESCO Global Geopark Karavanke-Karawanken in Carintihia. (www.geopark-karawanken.at) The focus is lying on GeoInterpretation (Work package 5). A workshop in the Alpin centre of Zell/Sele, an excursion to the Wildensteiner waterfall as well as a visit to the Infocentre of Bad Eisenkappel/ ┼Żelezna Kapla is planned. (see pictures below).

The other days are taking place in the UNESCO Global Geopark Styrian Eisenwurzen (www.eisenwurzen.com). The venue for the second and third day is going to be the Hotel Bergkristall in the municipality of Wildalpen. Besides of evaluations of the current project status a training for the workpackage 3 - Geoparks with(out) limits is taking place. 3 presentations within capitalisation are planned as well. At one evening the participants are invited to see the famous Spring Water Museum in Wildalpen including a "GeoFood" dinner. On the last day the participants have the opportunity to explore the Geopark Eisenwurzen in the "GeoVillage Gams", a main geological sight of the Geopark.
