ENERGY BARGE - Selected as EUSDR Strategic Project

The EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) has selected and approved the ENERGY BARGE project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, as “EUSDR Strategic Project” together with eight other projects. Thereby the EUSDR aims to showcase the progress, joint efforts and commitment of the countries within the Danube region and relevant stakeholders in this area by implementing the Strategy through specific projects.

The EUSDR is macro-regional strategy of the European Union, which has been elaborated by the European Commission and endorsed by the European Council in 2011. It followed an initiative of several national governments as well as local and regional authorities from the Danube region. The aim of the EUSDR is to support the bilateral and multilateral cooperation of stakeholders from selected priority areas across the Danube area. The 6th Annual Forum of the EUSDR will take place from 18-19 October 2017 in Budapest.
