Nine cluster representatives and representatives of similar institutions were invited to join the business lunch. FORESDA’s Lead-Partner CyberForum and the project partner, Regional Economic Development Agency of Northern Black Forest, organized a business lunch in the framework of Germany’s National Cluster Week. During the event, the German partners presented the project and discussed about cross-clustering issues and possible cooperation projects to foster sustainable innovations in the wood sector through specific collaboration with other clusters from the regions of Karlsruhe and Northern Black Forest. Representatives from networks in the wood, IT, creative, automotive, plastics, and energy sectors sat together to initiate cross-clustering cooperation ideas with the wood sector to strengthen the competitiveness of the local industries.  During the meeting a set of recommendations has been elaborated in order to strengthen collaboration between the different clusters / entities.

The event’s participants decided to meet again on a regular basis and to invite each other to the relevant cluster workshops and meetings, where possible synergy effects / cross-clustering issues could emerge.
