Meet Manon, the first European Solidarity Corps volunteer hosted by the DTP!

31-05-2017

The Danube Transnational Programme is very happy to share the newly released video by the European Commission about the first ever deployed European Solidarity Corps volunteer: our Interreg Reporter, Manon!

Manon is the first European Solidarity Corps member to be deployed ; she joined the DTP on 20 March 2017, for four and a half months. As an Interreg reporter, she promotes successful projects among the 14 countries along the Danube. She also reports on the importance of cooperation across European borders and the benefits of European territorial integration.

Transnational cooperation indeed prepares the ground for long-lasting and comprehensive projects, in a sustainable perspective. It helps solve joint problems, by enriching perspectives on best practices and lessons learnt in other countries. Bringing Europeans closer together is a way to facilitate the sharing of ideas and assets, thus encouraging strategic work towards common goals.

Watch it now and find out what you could also do as a volunteer!

Programme co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI)
