InnoHPC - INVITATION - 2nd InnoHPC LAB Pilot Testing Workshop in Budapest - 16th May 2019

The Workshop is organised by Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Introduction

The InnoHPC project is funded under INTERREG Danube Transnational Cooperation Programme, supported by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA), and co-funded by the project partners or from national public co-funding and state contributions. The main objective of InnoHPC is to create transnational HPC laboratory for co-designing knowledgeintensive innovative products with high value-added in transnational value-chains.

Aims of the workshop

The training courses will develop skills of entrepreneurs from SMEs to communicate their problems to researchers in academia, build their understanding of HPC and its possible applications, build intercultural competencies required to co-operate in the framework of transnational value chains and also train their researchers to use HPC skills. The testing of developed materials will be in a relatively controlled environment, in the framework of winter schools for representatives of the HPC providers and competence centres and in the form of a dedicated training workshops for SMEs.

Trainings are:

  • better understanding on the mechanisms of technology transfer and commercialization
  • identify how HPC providers can sell the research services
  • to develop communication plans and strategies and to use communication tools for engaging SMEs in collaborative work
  • to improve the awareness on existing infrastructure in national and EU level  to use HPC in production planning and forecasting
  • to use HPC in vehicle construction
  • to improve the communication strategy methods to use academic environment (HPC researchers) as sources of existing business problems
  • to overview on using HPC in design of electric motors  GPU cluster for developing VR applications
