ATTRACTIVE DANUBE - Two Capacity Building Seminars Organized in Slovakia in February 2019

In the second week of February 2019, two out of three National Capacity Building Seminars took place in Bratislava and Košice, Slovakia.

The first seminar was organized on February 6th in Bratislava, in the premises of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for Investments and informatization. The seminar was targeted towards the representatives of the Section of Strategic Planning responsible for preparation of National infrastructure plan of the Slovak Republic for years 2018 – 2030 and for preparation of mid- and long-term strategic documents in the field of investments, and the Section of Strategy and Methodology for Regional Development responsible for preparation and monitoring of regional development of the country and its regions.

The second capacity building activity was organized on 7th February within the Meeting of Commission for Regional Development of the Košice Self-governing Region, being formed by regional parliament members and various invited stakeholders. Within the event, the action plan of the Program of Landscape Restoration in Košice Self-governing Region was presented and discussed. This strategic document aims to ensure the environmental, food, social and climate security of the region. The TAMP platform „Platform for monitoring of implementation of National Strategy for Regional Development was showcased in the second part of the meeting. The event was attended by parliament members and commission guests coming from diverse sectors – city and municipality representatives (mayors, public servants), academics, and representatives from private sector and civil society.
