28-09-2018

The National Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training Development/NCTVETD promoted Romania's results in the field of vocational training and the dual system, as part of the experience exchange in Podgorica, Montenegro, where dual system was initiated through a pilot program carried out during the period 2004 - 2008, and resumed in the year 2017. For this year were registered 217 operators, up from 50 economic agents in 2016 and 169 in 2017.
A useful measure taken in Montenegro to attract as many economic agents/operator as possible was the financial support provided by the Government for the students involved in the dual system in the first 2 years of practice, the economic agent being financially involved only in the third year of practice.

The NCTVETD team formed by Florentina VASILESCU, Mihaela MANOLI and Mihai LACATUSU, presented the romanian experience regarding to the dual system: in 2017 260 companies and 2.568 students have been involved while in 2018 the number of students increased to 4.110 !
The "Learning by doing" project with the financial support of Interreg - the Danube Transnational Program, offers the possibility of exchanging experience between the 14 partner countries, generating transferable solutions for a quality VET system.

Programme co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI)
