27-08-2018

The project organized a 2-day-long Youth Camp for young people from the countries of Danube Region participating in the project. The event had 30 young participants from Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania and Serbia. The topic were social innovation and social entrepreneurship which are the project' scope.

After an introductory session about these topics an active working period started in small groups which ended with an idea pitch on the second day.

On the first day the common work started with a brainstorming on socially beneficial ideas which focused on the development of competencies, then participants worked out their projects in mixed groups. In the final session the idea pitch were introduced to them as a form. The pitch aimed at developing and delivering a presentation for the chosen best ideas.

The project held a dissemination event on the second day, where the ideas elaborated by the creative international teams were turned into presentations in the form of a pitch.

The whole workshop encouraged active participation through thinking about feasible social entrepreneurial or socially innovative ideas that can be applied in any city.

Concrete tasks were given to the youth who could benefit from the Youth Camp because the focus was on:

  • empowering participants to become agents of social change in their own communities by motivating and inspiring them to take action in social innovation / social entrepreneurship.
  • providing opportunities for and encourage networking and exchange of experiences/knowledge among participants.
