RegioStars Award 2018: Certificate Ceremony for Finalists

05-07-2018

On the 3rd of July 2018, a Certificate Ceremony attended by the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Crețu and Regiostars 2018 Presidents of the Jury, MEP Lambert van Nistelrooij and MEP Kerstin Westphal, was held in Strasbourg, France. The Ceremony was addressed to all the finalists of this year's edition of RegioStars award. During the event, each finalist received a certificate and posed for a commemorative photo with the Commissioner and Presidents of the Jury.

As a finalist in the "5th Category: Investing in cultural heritage" alongside four other projects, our very own Iron-Age-Danube Project Lead Partner Dr. Marko Mele, Archaelogic & Coin Cabinet of Universalmuseum Joannem, with the company of the DTP Joint Secretariat Communication officer Eloy Girón Gómez, has attended the Ceremony.

The Ceremony has also marked the launch of the Public Online Vote to define the Winner of the Public Choice Award. The deadline to cast your vote is by 7th of October. It is a primordial moment for the DTP as it is the first time that one of our approved projects has been selected as a finalist in RegioStars. So we would like to have all the support that you could give us! Cast your votehere.

Furthermore, another Transnational Programme approved project is also a finalist in a different category, specifically the project ClimACT from Interreg Sudoe (South-West) is in the "2nd Category: Achieving sustainability through low carbon emissions".

An exhibition of finalist projects during the European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC2018) will be held at the Square from 8-11 October 2018. The winners will be announced during the EWRC. Further information will follow.
