The Danube Transnational Programme is launching its first Seed money Facility Call on 2nd October 2017 - a new funding possibility for projects to prepare for further funding. In order to properly inform stakeholders, the DTP organized the Seed Money Facility Event, which took place 27th September 2017 in Vienna, Austria, gathering around 120 decision-makers and interested parties.

After the welcoming thoughts the morning was dedicated to the general presentation of the DTP and the audience also got introduced to the EUSDR and its START/DSPF project preparation support mechanisms, along with a specific example presented by a project. Right before lunch break the DTP Seed Money Facility was in the spotlight, presented by two of our representatives and followed by the "Topics addressed by the 1st SMF Call (Interactive session)". During the latter participants had the chance to carry out fruitful and tailored discussions in small groups corresponding to the EUSDR Priority Areas and lead by the Priority Area Coordinators.

The afternoon's core topic revolved around the financing possibilities for finished SMF projects: although the list was far from complete, still very important funding instruments were introduced: Horizon 2020, LIFE and Erasmus+. Inbetween the presentations the breaks were spent in a lively manner, giving the opportunity to everyone for networking and exchanging ideas - we hope to see the result of these brainstormings in great applications coming in to our call!
