CAMARO-D project team

In the inviting premises of Herman Otto Institute Ltd. in Budapest CAMARO-D was successfully launched with a kick-off workshop on March 22nd and 23rd, 2017. The project team, participants of all partners originating from all nine countries in the Danube Region got together to discuss the project’s topics and workplan.

KICKoff workshop

During an interactive workshop that was carried out in the afternoon-session, views considering

  • current problems and challenges
  • expectations towards the project
  • opportunities and threats of a transnational approach

were gathered and discussed.

aNALYsis of group work

The results of the working groups were presented to the plenum and a final discussion-round helped to clearly demonstrate the project's objectives.

Within national stakeholder workshops, which will be carried out in June 2017 in each partner-country, involved stakeholder groups will be invited to contribute to the assessment of current shortcomings in actual land use management practices.

CAMaro-d partnership

The CAMARO-D partnership consists of 14 financing partners and 9 associated partners from nine countries, covering quite the whole geographical scope of the Danube Transnational Programme Area.

Selected associated partners – many of them representing governmental institutions - will especially foster the actual implementation of CAMARO-D outcomes, in particular the implementation of the catchment-based “Land Use Development Plan” (LUDP).

MAin project outputs

The development of the project outputs will strongly involve the stakeholders in each country.

the aim of the project in a nutshell

CAMARO-D develops a transnational catchment-based “Land Use Development Plan” (LUDP) for an adequate coordination and harmonization of different function-oriented sustainable land use management activities.

This new planning instrument provides the initial action to set framework conditions for a transnational catchment-based cooperation and should therefore be integrated in existing River Basin Management Plans.
