Smart Building – Smart Grid – Smart City (3Smart)

  • Project idea information

    Priority

Better connected and energy responsible Danube region - Improve framework conditions for innovation - Strengthen transnational water management and flood risk prevention - Improve energy security and energy efficiency - Improve institutional capacities to tackle major societal challenges

    Project Idea Promoter
    (name of the institution)

University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing

    Needs and challenges
(Needs, main problems or challenges to be addressed)

Current practices in the Danube Region with respect to promoting integration of energy-efficiency measures and renewable energy sources are not followed by adequate interactions of these two aspects that would enable cost-optimal operation of the building

    Objectives
(main and specific objectives to be achieved)

The main objective of the project is to provide a technology and legislative set-up for city-wide energy management of public infrastructures in DR. Enabling optimal interoperation of RE&EE measures and alleviating grid barriers will boost take-up of RE&E

    Main results and core outputs

The core outputs of the project are: (i) modular energy management platform (EMP) -- software modules --, (ii) validated in several pilots by intersecting technology/policy setups of all DR countries -- validation case studies and reports -- with (iii) re

    Main foreseen activities
