Main foreseen activities
Promotional tour (during 3+3 month's in 2021) along the entire 2500km of the trail, daily meets with local stakeholders in the field of tourism and heritage management and from civil society (youth clubs, hiking clubs, cycling clubs).
Innovative character of the project idea
The Sultans Trail is designed to introduce hikers and cyclists to the cultural heritage of the regions along the trail in a sustainable and non-intrusive way. It provides new opportunities for tourism in the hinterland of the countries that it passes through.
