Specific objective : " Developing conceptual design for ‘’The Ćiro Trail’’ in central Bosnia region. "
Main results and core outputs
The preservation and revival of industrial heritage narrow-gauge railway in the region, defining standards and mechanisms for valorisation of industrial heritage, development of strategies and approaches for achieving social and economic sustainability and reduction imbalances between richer and poorer regions, the development strategy for the development and sustainable tourism planning and management, and development of marketing strategy, creating an open platform for educational and cultural exchange with the intention of celebrating cultural diversity and cultivation of strong educational links between history and future, defining and improving mechanisms for collaborative, innovative and educational modes.
Main foreseen activities
- preservation of architectural heritage in Travnik Municipality,
- preservation of historical monuments in area,
- preservation of intangible heritage and old crafts (traditional pottery, traditional cloth production)
- preservation of technical heritage,
- engaging heritage as tourism potential and developing tourist offer of area.
Innovative character of the project idea
Project idea will introduce a new dimension to the more spheres of the tourist offer in the Canton area.
