Needs and challenges
(Needs, main problems or challenges to be addressed)Each of the Lower Danube region countries develops policies on the labor market, but these policies are not sustainable or integrated with each other. This reduces the synergy effect and potential benefits of developing and implementing modern policies with high added value for the region, especially those targeted at vulnerable groups on the labor market.
The capacity of the organisations developing such policies is different and they are not always leading to the expected result and change.

Main results and core outputs
• Established laboratory for simulations and training of public authorities in the Lower Danube region
• Established strategic instrumentarium for developing labor market public policies, including SMART application for training
• Established a model for forecasting labor force and competencies needs based on spatial analysis and competency model
• Elaborated platform to help young people and other vulnerable groups to find work by publishing their profiles and the needs of employers
• Developed forecast for necessary competencies in the region for medium / long term
Main foreseen activities
• Establishing Danubian Laboratory for Simulation wich will be used to train local authorities to pursue sustainable labor market policies, with focus on vulnerable groups in the labor market - women, young people, the long-term unemployed
• Exploring the capacity and practice of public authorities in the Lower Danube region with regard to labor market public policies. Strategic analysis
• Establishing strategic instrumentarium for developing labor market public policies, including SMART application for training
• Elaboration of platform to help young people and other vulnerable groups to find work by publishing their profiles and the needs of employers
• Establishing a model for forecasting labor force and competencies needs based on spatial analysis and competency model.Pilot study of the necessary competencies in the region for medium / long term
