Technically-economically feasible, sustainable and innovative solutions for food production and consumption systems in the Danube region by application of the bottom-up approach.

Main results and core outputs

Improvement of food through application of innovative technological process
Improvement of understanding of the key process determining diversified food processes and their interaction at farm and landscape levels, based on experimentation and modeling of the regional pilots.
To upscale toolbox-solution from diverse regional pilots into Danube regional level.

Main foreseen activities

Strong discussion and cooperation with governmental sectors, specified and integrated biophysical modelling in combination with farm-economic and agent-based modelling.
Experience support for creation of networks and strategic alliances and creating value for all the stakeholders: networking university, research and private sectors as well as other institutions with different legal status.

Innovative character of the project idea

Focus on availability of healthy food for certain groups of people using the up-to-date technological processing while searching for efficient optimization of solutions for farmers. Using the integrated modelling to develop products involving the local producers and their modification for supra-regional use.
