    (name of the institution)

    University of Suceava, Romania

    Needs and challenges
(Needs, main problems or challenges to be addressed)

The main focus is to improve knowledge based processing methods and predict the optimum nanostructure of transparent conductive oxides combining different kind of nanoparticles to tailor interphases, dispersions and interactions that have determining effect on the thermo-mechanical and physical properties in order to reach higher performances.

    Objectives
(main and specific objectives to be achieved)

The objective of this research project is identification of new transparent conductive oxide (TCO) materials and factors that optimize the properties of TCO layers through an optimized fabrication process.

    Main results and core outputs

The results of the this project proposal are expected to cover the gaps that exist in Europe in terms of novel and indium free TCOs flexible films as well as in terms of Europe dragging behind United States in the commercialization of these materials.

    Main foreseen activities

Identification of new transparent conductive oxide (TCO) materials and factors that optimize the properties of TCO layers through an optimized fabrication process.

Innovative character of the project idea

Research stimulation into new TCO materials composed of more abundant elements, as well as efforts toward the reduction of In use and recycling of it. Although ZnO, SnO2 and many kinds of multicomponent materials are promising alternatives to ITO; it is still necessary to explore new TCO materials to widen the application fields of TCOs.
